Keeping Children Safe is a small charity run by a passionate team with big ambitions.
We campaign for all children to have the right to a safe and healthy development into adulthood, and we are committed to ending abuse, exploitation, trafficking, torture and all forms of violence against children.
We work with individuals, family foundations, wealth advisers and donor-advised funds to drive philanthropic giving in support of the universal adoption of our tough International Child Safeguarding Standards.
We build trust with donors in developing philanthropic strategies that ensure your donation supports the project of your choice, unless you are happy for us to spend it where the need is greatest.
Because we are the only independent organisation dedicated to training and building capacity, we need individuals like you, with foresight and a passionate belief in child safeguarding, to invest in our work.

Risk assessments
While we have developed a free-to-use self-assessment tool that helps assess the risk of abuse within and organisation, with your help we can also go to more organisations and carry out in-depth audits.
Training
To embed child safeguarding into the structure of an organisation, we run workshops that help train staff and encourage teams to run background checks on new recruits.
Certification
Keeping Children Safe’s certification scheme is for all organisations that come into contact with children. Our certification process, based on the International Child Safeguarding Standards, is the most effective way to demonstrate an organisation’s commitment to protecting children from harm and exploitation.
Documentation
We partner with researchers, lawyers and campaigners to document and promote investigative findings and use this to present our evidence to international organisations and government bodies.
Exposing
We listen to whistleblowers. And we support them in practical ways, helping them to expose neglect and outright child abuse.
Lobbying
Keeping Children Safe works directly with partner organisations and government ministers to help them develop better child safeguarding policies.

As a company limited by guarantee and an independent registered charity, our accounts are independently audited and submitted to Companies House annually, and we also report to the Charity Commission, an independent body that regulates the activities of charities in the UK.
